आयरलैंड में दिन भर दिन जनसंख्या गिरती जा रही है , देश के केंद्रीय सांख्यिकी कार्यालय (सीएसओ) द्वारा जारी जनगणना 2022 के प्रारंभिक परिणामों के अनुसार, अप्रैल 2022 तक आयरलैंड की जनसंख्या 5.12 मिलियन से कुछ अधिक थी। सीएसओ ने गुरुवार को कहा कि अप्रैल 2016 में हुई पिछली जनगणना की तुलना में यह देश की आबादी में 7.6 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि दर्शाती है।

समाचार एजेंसी शिन्हुआ की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, 3 अप्रैल, 2022 की जनगणना की रात में आयरलैंड में कुल 5,123,536 लोग रहते थे। कुल आबादी में महिलाओं की संख्या 50.62 प्रतिशत थी, शेष पुरुषों के पास थी।

सीएसओ के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, 2016 और 2022 के बीच छह वर्षों में, महिला आबादी की वृद्धि दर 7.7 प्रतिशत थी जबकि पुरुषों की वृद्धि दर 7.5 प्रतिशत थी।

इसिलिए वहाँ की सरकार ने ये नियम बनाया है की बच्चे पैदा करने के मिलेंगे पैसे।
